Michael Cloud
Michael C. Cloud is a Filipino-American who was born in Santa Ana, California but spent most of his life growing up in the historic Arkansas town of Hot Springs. He attended the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts where he graduated in 2004 and then went onto the University of Central Arkansas and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry in 2008.
After briefly living in Fayetteville and studying at the University of Arkansas, he enrolled in the St. George’s University International School of Medicine in St. George’s, Grenada, British West Indies where he is currently studying to complete his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2014. Upon completion of his MD, he is aspiring to complete his Internal Medicine residency and continue on to gain a fellowship in cardiology and pursue a career as an Invasive Cardiologist.
During his time at the University of Central Arkansas, he was a member of the UCA Pre-Medicine Society and served as a Vice President for his campus’ Student Ministry organization during the 2005-2006 terms. At St. George’s, Michael is an active member of the Emergency Medicine and the Surgery Organizations as well as an active Department of Education Facilitator for the Freshman Biochemistry classes in the School of Medicine.
Outside of academia – Michael is an avid Razorback fan and loves spending time with his family and friends when given the chance.
